Job summary

Continental seeks a skilled polymer science/chemistry engineer to develop new color formulations for PVC, TPO and inks. You will prepare samples and guide the product development process, including creating technical specifications and design verification data.

You will collaborate with vendors to qualify new raw materials for serial production, manage external testing facilities, and lead root-cause investigations with cross-functional teams, while supervising technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in polymer science, chemistry, or engineering.
• Passing color test.
• Team player. Able to work with people at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate technical information to a diverse audience.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct and fully document research projects.
• Detail oriented and Hands On
• Practical experience using problem solving skills
• Knowledge of pigments preferred
• Experience with calendering, gravure and spreadcoating applications

Responsibilities
