Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking an R&D Chemist II to support heavy equipment and transportation coatings. You will collaborate with Marketing, Sales and end customers across NA, Europe, Asia and Latin America to advance coating technologies and meet performance expectations.

You will work on hands-on formulation, processing, testing, scale-up and continuous improvement while mentoring junior chemists and ensuring compliance with safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science/Engineering/Math field.
• Advanced degree preferred for higher qualification.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with General Industrial Sales, Technical and Marketing teams.
• Communicate effectively with managers, customers, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Analyze data to identify trends and support project advancement.
• Lead technically complex projects with minimal supervision.
• Develop and scale-up coating formulations for performance.
