Job summary

Astrix is seeking an R&D Chemist for a direct-hire position in Bartholomew County, IN. The role focuses on developing and testing new products from concept to commercialization, preparing lab solutions, and performing routine testing within a GMP environment.

The candidate will support method validation, cleaning procedures, equipment upkeep, and coordination of sample shipments to external labs. A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field is preferred, with manufacturing experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field preferred.
• Experience working in a chemical laboratory; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of chromatography, formulation, and/or pharmaceutical equipment cleaning.
• GMP/cGMP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and testing of new products from concept through commercialization.
• Prepare laboratory solutions and materials for research and development activities.
• Perform routine testing of products under development.
• Support and execute method validation studies.
• Assist with the development and implementation of cleaning procedures.
• Maintain and clean R&D and production equipment following R&D activities.
• Support batching and filling line trials.
• Coordinate the preparation and shipment of test samples to outside laboratories.
• Compile, analyze, and document R&D data, results, and observations.
• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory notebooks and records.
• Follow GMP/cGMP requirements and established laboratory procedures.
• Support plant trials and other hands-on product development initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Our client, a leader in contract manufacturing and integrated product development, formulation science, technical operations, packaging expertise, and in-house analytical and stability programs is seeking a R&D Chemist to join their team on a Direct Hire basis.

Location: Bartholomew County, IN

Type: Direct Hire

Pay Rate: $65-$70K
