Job summary

Hscast in Indiana is seeking a junior engineering support professional to assist with project planning, scheduling, and risk management within our R&D and manufacturing environment.

You will create documentation, forecast efforts, and status reports, collaborate with engineers on automation projects, and develop 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, Inventor, and Excel for data analysis. This role supports day-to-day plant operations and adheres to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting engineering projects in manufacturing.
• Ability to follow SOPs and standard engineering processes.
• Familiarity with R&D and automation projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and development of projects.
• Assist with scheduling, scope and risk management.
• Perform admin activities: scheduling, meetings, documentation, forecasting, status reporting.
• Collaborate with engineers on automation of oxy-fuel cutting processes.
• Understand day-to-day plant operations.
• Perform routine engineering tasks using SOPs and basic calculations.
• Develop drawings and 3-D models with CAD tools.
• Tabulate data and perform calculations in Excel.
