Job summary

Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. in Lakeville, MA invites motivated students to join as a Research and Development (Analytical Chemistry) Intern for the summer. The role focuses on hands-on work in R&D, chemistry, food safety and quality, with opportunities to present findings.

The internship runs 10–12 weeks starting June 8, 2027, with a traditional work week and summer Fridays. The project scope includes analytical methods and data analysis in a bilingual environment.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in a Master’s Degree or PhD Program in Food Science, Food Chemistry, Chemistry or related area.
• Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques and experimental design.
• Experience with GC, LC and/or column chromatography/fractionation.
• Must be project oriented and able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Highly organized and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Characterization of samples through basic analysis (brix, acidity, pH, etc.).
• HPLC analysis of samples (sugars, etc.).
• Pesticide analysis (GC-MS, LC-MS/MS).
• Forensic analysis of samples.
• Experimental design and data analysis.
• Preparing and presenting projects.
