Job summary

Qualifications

Role Description

The R&D Analytical Chemist is a full-time, on-site role based in Glendale, CA, responsible for cinducting lab redearch and supporting the development and evaluation of formulations. Daily responsibilities include performing analytical testing, method development, and validation using techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and wet chemistry, in accordance with laboratory protocols and regulatory requirements. The role involves planning and executing experiments, interpreting data, preparing technical reports, and maintaining accurate laboratory records. The R&D Analytical Chemist collaborates with R&D, quality, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot product and process issues, contribute to quality control programs, and ensure that formulations meet defined specifications. Additional tasks include maintaining laboratory equipment, following safety practices, and supporting continuous improvement of analytical methods and workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills, including data interpretation, problem-solving, and application of analytical methods.
• Experience in Research and Development (R&D), including experimental design, method development, and documentation of results.
• Proficient laboratory skills, such as handling chemicals, operating analytical instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis), and following standard operating procedures.
• Background in quality control, including understanding of specifications, sampling plans, and regulatory or industry standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry with a minimun of 5 years analytical lab experience or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field with a minimum of 2-3 years analytical laboratory experience
• Familiarity with GMP or other regulated laboratory environments and strong attention to safety and compliance.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports and collaborate within cross-functional teams.
• experience supporting analytical research, product development and problem-solving in pharmaceutical, OTC drug, or other FDA regulated environments
• Ability to work on‑site in Glendale, CA, manage multiple projects, and maintain organized, accurate records.

Preferred

• Experienced developing invalidating methods for pharmaceutical raw materials, API’s and finished drug products.
• Experience, supporting, formulation development, stability, studies, method, transfers, and laboratory investigations.
