Job summary

CommScope Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a skilled 3D printing Technician to support NPI projects. You will manage multiple prototype requests, run prints on FDM, Polyjet and SLA, and ensure parts meet design and performance specs.

Collaborating with design and engineering teams, you will optimize prints, troubleshoot issues, and maintain schedules in a fast-paced lab. Attention to detail and strong organization are essential to deliver high-quality prototypes on time.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in additive manufacturing, engineering, technology, or CAD.
  • 5–8 years of experience in a similar additive manufacturing role.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and optimize 3D printing equipment across FDM, Polyjet, and SLA.
  • Perform print setup including file prep, printer calibration, material loading, and build validation.
  • Perform post-processing: support removal, cleaning, curing, finishing, and inspection.
  • Review prototype requests and collaborate with designers and engineers on requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement on quality, throughput, and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot print failures and perform preventive maintenance on 3D printers.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to plan processes.
  • Participate in 5S+1 initiatives to keep the lab organized and safe per NPI standards.
