Job summary

Graybar is hiring a Quotations Specialist to manage the quotations process from request receipt to submission of the quote to the customer. You will interact with Graybar sales reps, customer service, customers and manufacturers to gather details for profitable quotes.

You will learn about product lines, pricing mechanics and the systems used to deliver timely, accurate quotations. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule and hourly pay with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Experience with SAP and Excel formulas.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• High School diploma; 2-year degree preferred.

As a Quotations Specialist, you will handle the quotations process from the time you receive the request to the time you submit the quote to the customer. You will communicate with Graybar sales representatives, customer service representatives, customers and manufacturer representatives to gather needed details to create your quotes. You will learn about our product lines and pricing mechanics, as well as the computer systems we use in order to provide quotations that result in profitable sales for the Company.

In this role you will:

• Prepare cost estimates of material
• Contact factories and representatives to obtain cost information
• Collaborate with sales representatives and customer service representatives
• Form relationships with customers and suppliers to provide on-time and accurate quotations
• Compare manufacturers’ bills of material to ascertain and price any differences for complete comparisons

What you bring to the table:

• Customer service and communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of SAP and ability to work with Excel formulas
• 2+ years experience preferred
• High School education
• 2 year degree in Business or related preferred

Shift and Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

Compensation Details: The expected rate of pay for this position is $29.23 per hour, depending on experience
