Job description

Quick Lube/Apprentice Technician – Gillman Subaru Southwest (59 south @ Beltway 8)

Part‑time and full‑time positions available. Must work every Saturday. Shifts available 6 AM–12 PM or 12 PM–6 PM and every Saturday 8 AM–5 PM. Must have a driver’s license with a good driving record.

The Responsibilities and Requirements

• Perform multipoint inspections and communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors
• Servicing universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using grease guns
• Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings, and shackles
• Check tire pressure, add water to radiators, and replace oil and air filters
• Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
• Drain oil from crankcases and refill with oil

  The Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Perform multipoint inspections and communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors
  • Servicing universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using grease guns
  • Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings, and shackles
  • Check tire pressure, add water to radiators, and replace oil and air filters
  • Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
  • Drain oil from crankcases and refill with oil
  • Inspect all vehicles for additional repairs
  • Must be able to work in the US and pass pre‑employment screening to include MVR (must be insurable), drug screen, and criminal background check
  • Read/comprehend written instructions and informationFamiliarity with all aspects of automotive repair/maintenance
  • Have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate manual transmissions
  • Prior experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice is highly desirable
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to stand, stoop, bend and lift to 50 pounds
  • Work in a seated position for extended periods while operating controls with arms and legs
