Job summary

Clint Newell Motors in Roseburg, Oregon is seeking a Quick Lube Technician to join our service team. You will diagnose, test, and repair vehicles, drive for test purposes, and communicate findings to teammates.

ASE certification or technical degree is preferred; a valid license and clean record are required. We offer apprenticeship mentoring, paid training, and access to the latest tools and technology to support career growth.

Qualifications

• Strong automotive background and ASE certification or technical degree.
• 1 year of experience in a service department is required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to learn new repair procedures and tech specs.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Test and verify that systems and components function properly.
• Isolate problems in systems or components.
• Test drive vehicles and check/ refill fluids as needed.
• Check tire pressure and lubricate fittings as required.
• Install oil drain plug and oil filter, report oil levels.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles accurately and efficiently.
• Repair or replace worn parts before failure.
• Use power, machine, and hand tools for tasks.

Job description

We are looking for aQuick Lube Technician to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong background in automotive and ASE certification or technical degree. The day-to-day duties of this role include testing check systems to ensure they are working properly, driving vehicles for test purposes, and accurately diagnosing and repairing vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle's breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities
• Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred)
• One year in a service department
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
