Job summary

Gulf Coast Family of Dealerships in Angleton, TX is seeking a Quick Lube Technician to inspect and lubricate vehicles quickly and thoroughly. You’ll join a team that provides training and opportunities to advance as you build hands-on skills in a busy shop.

The role emphasizes following procedures, communicating needs to service advisors, and maintaining vehicle fluids and filters. This position offers employer-provided benefits and potential for growth within our Houston metro-area network.

Qualifications

• Reading and comprehension of instructions
• Familiarity with automotive repair/maintenance
• Ability to operate manual transmissions
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Capacity to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Perform multipoint inspections and communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors
• Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using grease guns
• Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings and shackles
• Check tire pressure, top up water to radiators, and replace oil and air filters
• Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
• Drain oil from crankcases and refill with oil
• Inspect vehicles for additional repairs

Quick Lube Technician

The Requirements:

• The capability to read/comprehend written instructions and information
• Familiarity with all aspects of automotive repair/maintenance
• A valid driver’s license and be able to operate manual transmissions
• Prior experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice would be highly desirable
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• The capacity to stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Work in the seated position for long periods while operating controls with arms and legs.
• The capability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast paced environment

The Responsibilities:

• Performing multipoint inspections and communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors
• Servicing universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using grease guns
• Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings and shackles
• Checking tire pressure, adding water to radiators, and replacing oil and air filters Loren
• Lubricating moving parts with specified lubricants
• Draining oil from crankcases and refilling with oil
• Inspecting all vehicles for additional repairs
