Job summary

Sonic Automotive's Jordan Lexus is hiring a Quick Lane Technician. You will lubricate vehicles quickly and thoroughly, coordinating with the Production Foreman to ensure quality service.

Requirements include 1+ year as a technician's helper or lube tech in a dealership or service shop, basic automotive knowledge, own tools, and a valid driver's license. Compensation is $18.00–$22.00 per hour with a 401k, PTO, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a technician's helper, apprentice, or lube tech in an automotive dealership or service shop.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems including oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Own a set of tools (basic hand tools, wrenches, socket set, impact wrench, torque wrench) and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough checks of customer's car (battery, lights, tires) and refer repairs to the Service Advisor.
• Lubricate entire car and operate lubrication equipment, ensuring safe, thorough service.
• Receive repair orders and service lifts, coordinating with the foreman and keeping equipment in good working order.
