Job summary

Dal-Tile LLC is seeking a skilled maintenance electrician to perform complex electrical duties in our manufacturing environment. You will install, repair, and service electrical energy systems, troubleshoot PLCs, and assist in redesigning programs and operator panels.

Strong blueprint reading and PLC programming skills are essential for uptime and productivity. The role requires a high school diploma (associates preferred), 4+ years in industrial maintenance, and PLC training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Associate degree in industrial electronics preferred.
• 4+ years industrial maintenance experience and 2+ years industrial electrical experience.
• Formal PLC training preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and programming using devices or laptops.
• Read blueprints and specifications for electrical installations.

Hours: 6:45PM - 7AM

Primary Objective

Performs complex mechanical duties and a variety of electrical trade functions in the installation, maintenance, repair and/or distribution of electrical energy. Installs, maintains and replaces electronic programmable controllers in a manufacturing environment.

Troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller) using hand held device or laptop.

Design and redesign program and software (PLCs, operator panels, etc).

Format hard drives and install to the computers (Computer Setup) and PC application

Installs, maintains or repairs equipment for the generation, distribution or utilization of electrical energy in a manufacturing environment.

Locates and diagnosis trouble in electrical systems or equipment working from blue prints, drawings, layouts or other specifications.

Works standard computations related to load requirements of wiring and/or electrical equipment.

Knowledge of Serial port communication systems, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and process control instrumentation devices (thermocouples, pressure switches, etc).

Knowledge of Servomotors and drive units.

Continuously reviewing their respective area for ideas and thoughts that will drive productivity and reduce costs within the organization and be able to professionally speak to their solution for improvement.

Uses a variety of electricians tools including measuring and testing instruments.

Leads projects and completes them successfully, returning equipment to production operating safely and efficiently.

Keeps work area safe, clean and organized.

Performs Other Related Duties As Required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

High school diploma or equivalent experience. Knowledge of electrical code.

Associate degree in industrial electronics preferred.

4 or more years industrial maintenance experience and 2 years industrial electrical experience. Formal PCL training preferred.

Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)

Competencies

Ability to read blueprints. Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and PLCs. Ability to score 80% or better on the Industrial Maintenance exam. Ability to read and understand procedures in English. Ability to test motors and electrical circuits using a voltmeter and amp meter. In depth knowledge of LGV equipment and operation.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is usually loud.
