Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a heavy equipment operator in Illinois to safely operate off-road and on-road haul trucks within the quarry environment. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections and work to load, haul, and unload materials following site rules.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate off-road and on-road haul trucks to transport aggregate materials within and from the quarry.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is safe and operational.
• Load, haul, and unload materials efficiently while following site traffic patterns and safety rules.
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, load operators, and site personnel to support daily production goals.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and adjust driving practices to changing site and weather conditions.
