Job summary

Martin Marietta's Walstrum Quarry in Idaho Springs, CO seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead end-to-end asset health and the safety of the maintenance crew. You will supervise both stationary and mobile equipment, from crushers to conveyors, to maximize uptime and production efficiency.

You will develop preventive maintenance strategies, mentor technicians, and coordinate with plant leadership to meet safety, production and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma, GED or relevant experience.
• 4+ years in related heavy industrial maintenance (aggregates, mining, or construction).
• Production processes, quality control methods, MSHA regulations, critical thinking and problem-solving.
• EPA resource management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily MSHA pre-shift inspections of equipment and work areas.
• Develop and execute daily and weekly maintenance schedules, prioritizing the backlog with the Plant Manager.
• Oversee repair and optimization of stationary equipment and mobile fleet assets.
• Mentor junior technicians on safe maintenance practices (LOTOTO).
• Plan and staff maintenance crew for a 4MTPY hard rock quarry.
• Assist in scheduling and timing of repairs to all equipment at the site.
• Monitor plant operations daily to ensure production and QC standards; take corrective action.
