Job summary

Scotty's Contracting and Stone in Kentucky is seeking a Quarry Haul Truck Driver focused on safety and reliable performance. This full-time position offers competitive benefits and the potential for a long-term career.

The driver will operate quarry heavy equipment, perform thorough pre- and post-operation inspections, and coordinate with dispatch to move materials from the pit to the plant or stockpiles. A minimum of 1 year of haul truck experience is required, and a drug screen is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must pass a drug screening and comply with the Substance-Free Workplace Policy.
• At least 1 year of experience operating haul trucks or similar heavy equipment.
• Familiarity with quarry equipment including crushers, conveyors, screens, and scales.
• Previous experience working in a quarry environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.

• Ability to work in outdoor and underground environments under various weather conditions.

• At least 1 year of experience operating haul trucks or similar heavy equipment (e.g., articulated trucks, rigid-frame trucks).
• Familiarity with quarry equipment including crushers, conveyors, screens, and scales.
• Previous experience working in a quarry environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Climbing: Must be physically capable of safely climbing in and out of equipment that is greater than 10 feet off the ground on uneven terrain multiple times daily.
• Heights: Ability to climb and work safely at heights exceeding 10 feet.
• Balance: Must maintain stability while standing and walking on potentially slick or uneven surfaces, sometimes while carrying equipment or materials.
• Vision: 20/40 corrected vision to see moving safety hazards, moving equipment, vehicles, and obstructions.
• Hearing: Corrected to hear verbal safety warnings and instructions.
• Awkward positions: Ability to transition between sitting, standing, and kneeling on the ground as required.
• Heavy lifting: Ability to lift and maneuver awkward parts and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Conditions: Primarily outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Must be adaptable to changing environmental factors and the demands of an active quarry operation.
