QuEra Computing Inc. seeks creative and collaborative Scientific Software Interns to help advance software that connects high-level quantum applications to neutral-atom quantum computers.

Working with software engineers, experimental and computational physicists, and a community of collaborators, you will contribute to research and engineering at the intersection of programming languages, compilers, and quantum computing.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in computer science, physics, math or related field.
• Experience with compiler development or program analysis is a plus.
• Interest in quantum computing and software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Investigate research questions in quantum compilation and languages.
• Develop DSLs and IRs for quantum circuits and control.
• Build and improve compiler infrastructure in Rust or Python.
• Collaborate with mentors and engineers to define goals and communicate results.
• Contribute tests, documentation, and reproducible experiments.
