Job summary

PhD in related fields or MS with 5+ years of experience; US citizenship; proficiency in Python; strong data analysis and communication skills; ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• US citizen and eligible for government access.
• PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, Quantum Engineering, EE, CS, or related field; or MS with 5+ years of relevant work.
• Demonstrated research in one quantum-information area and ability to design experiments or models.
• Proficiency with Python or equivalent scientific language.
• Experience with data analysis, visualization, and reproducible research practices.
• Strong analytical, writing and presentation skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct quantum research (theoretical, computational or experimental).
• Develop and evaluate quantum devices, algorithms, and measurement methods.
• Characterize quantum-system performance and reliability.
• Develop scientific software for modeling, simulation, data acquisition, processing and visualization.
• Support benchmarking, verification, calibration, and measurement standards.
• Analyze results with reproducible statistical methods.
• Prepare technical reports, papers, and presentations.
• Present research findings at reviews, conferences, and meetings.
• Collaborate with physicists, engineers, computer scientists, mathematicians, and partners.
