Job summary

QuEra Computing, Inc. seeks a Quantum Error Correction (QEC) Research Intern to join our team developing hardware-efficient and scalable QEC schemes for neutral-atom quantum computers. You will design, simulate, and analyze QEC strategies with experts in theory and hardware.

The role offers hands-on experience at the intersection of theory and hardware, including development of logical gate schemes and improved decoders. On-site internship with rolling reviews and Nov. 15, 2026 deadline.

Qualifications

• Solid background in quantum computing and quantum error correction.
• Strong programming skills and experience with numerical simulation tools such as Stim or decoders.
• Familiarity with experimental or hardware-informed QEC implementations and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and analyze QEC strategies for our neutral-atom platform.
• Develop novel logical gate schemes with low overhead.
• Improve decoding methods and implement QEC protocols on hardware.
