Qualifications

• PhD in CS/Physics/Math/Engineering or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience using GPUs for numerical simulation of quantum systems.
• Experience running simulations on HPC clusters or supercomputers with many parallel nodes.
• Experience documenting results in scientific papers.

Responsibilities

• Drive a research agenda using numerical methods to advance quantum computing
• Lead the development of numerical methods for exact and approximate simulation of quantum circuits and dynamics of quantum systems
• Scale up numerical methods on HPC clusters and supercomputers
• Perform large-scale simulations and document the results in scientific papers.
• Implement, maintain, and manage a codebase of quantum simulation techniques.
