You will conduct theoretical research, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and advise hardware teams on architecture for trapped-ion processors. A PhD plus 4+ years of experience is required, with US citizenship or equivalent due to security requirements.

Qualifications

• PhD completed before start date.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience (PhD inclusive).
• U.S. Person status required (citizen, green card holder, etc.).
• Must not be a PRC or Russian national unless U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Conduct theoretical research into quantum algorithms and quantum error correction.
• Collaborate with theory, software, and hardware teams to prototype on quantum computers.
• Advise architecture and hardware teams on trapped-ion processor design.
