What You’ll Do
- Work closely with customers to understand needs and provide quantum support in laboratory or agile software development environments.
- Apply software engineering expertise for problem‑solving, design, development, and maintenance of cutting‑edge quantum systems.
- Identify and grow technical collaborations that underlie engineering advances.
- Identify new growth areas for quantum and AI businesses and build MVPs to excite customers.
- Leverage software development principles to build frameworks and programs that maximize computational resources for customer use cases.
Must Have
- 2+ years of experience in software development or quantum algorithms.
- Experience in laboratory or Agile software development environments.
- Experience with quantum algorithms, quantum software development, or quantum computing applications.
- Experience with Python, C, C++, or Rust.
- Knowledge of quantum computing hardware, control electronics, and environmental control requirements.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Nice to Have
- Managing teams of scientists, engineers, or developers.
- Experience in quantum materials, qubit control, or quantum information science.
- Research in quantum mechanics or effects enabling quantum computing, sensing, or networking.
- Excellent collaboration skills across technical backgrounds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Master’s or Doctorate in relevant fields (preferred).
- Certifications related to quantum materials, qubit control, or quantum information science.
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $77,600.00 – $176,000.00 (annualized USD). Benefits include health, life, disability, financial, retirement programs, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care.
Work Model
- Remote – may require occasional in‑person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
- Hybrid – expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently and may visit customer sites.
- Onsite – work primarily at a Booz Allen office or customer facility.
