Job summary

Allstate Insurance seeks a Quantum Algorithm Development Intern to explore emerging quantum technologies and apply them to real-world optimization, ML, and analytics challenges. You will work with experts to develop and evaluate quantum algorithms, build simulations, and contribute to collaborative projects with industry and academia.

The role is designed for senior undergraduates, graduates, or recent graduates with a strong computing, math, or engineering background.

Qualifications

Current undergraduate student entering senior year, current graduate student, or recent graduate pursuing a degree in a quantitative field.
Coursework or project experience in quantum computing, linear algebra, algorithms, ML, scientific computing.
Experience with optimization, data analysis, or numerical methods.
Experience programming in Python or similar language.

Responsibilities

Assist in development and evaluation of quantum computing algorithms for optimization, ML, and related applications.
Build simulations and prototypes using quantum and classical computing tools.
Analyze and compare performance of quantum vs classical approaches through numerical experiments.
Collaborate with internal teams and external researchers on research projects.
Prepare technical documentation and presentations of findings.
