A Hong Kong/PRC–based project team seeks a Quantity Surveyor to oversee pre- and post-contract contractual and financial duties for residential and commercial projects. You will participate in feasibility studies to establish budgets and supervise tendering, payments, variations and final accounts, ensuring robust financial control.
The role requires 7+ years in Quantity Surveying, fluency in English, Chinese and Putonghua, and strong communication skills.
Report to the Project Manager for managing all pre- and post-contract contractual and financial duties for residential and commercial projects in Hong Kong and PRC
Participate in feasibility studies to establish project budgets
Oversee budgetary control, including reviewing cost plans and cost studies during design & construction stages
Manage tender procurement processes and review tender documentation
Lead and monitor the tendering, award and contract administration processes
Supervise interim payment assessments, certification processes and co-ordinate with consultants for compliance with SOPL
Review project financial statements and cash flow forecasts to ensure effective financial control
Supervise and review variation assessments
Manage and oversee the final account settlement process and contractual claims
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related disciplines
Minimum 7 years' experience in Quantity Surveying. Exposure in property developers or consultancy firms is preferred
Strong communication and presentation skills
Fluency in both written and spoken English, Chinese & Putonghua
Effective in team playing and interpersonal skills. Diligent and passionate at work
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives
Willing to travel when required
