Job summary

Rocket Mortgage is seeking a Quantitative Valuation Analyst to develop and maintain quantitative models estimating MSR asset value and to support pricing decisions. You will design improvements to reporting infrastructure and summarize data to reveal trends for actionable insights.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in trading or financial analysis, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of mortgage capital markets and cash flow modeling.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in trading, reporting or financial analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, math, computer science, a related field or equivalent experience.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, graphs and charts.
• Knowledge of mortgage process and mortgage capital markets activities.
• Advanced knowledge of mortgage cash flow modeling concepts.

As the Quantitative Valuation Analyst, you analyze business information and trends to inform or make strategic and/or trading decisions. You support efforts to improve pricing and valuation strategies related to the MSR asset.

About The Role

About You

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in trading, reporting or financial analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, math, computer science, a related field or equivalent experience
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to, ability to utilize formulas, pivot tables, graphs and charts
• Knowledge of mortgage process and mortgage capital markets activities
• Advanced knowledge of mortgage cash flow modeling concepts

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced experience with financial analysis and reporting
• Advanced knowledge of Excel Modeling
• Proficiency with SQL
• Knowledge of MSR valuation concepts, including prepayments and defaults
