Susquehanna is hiring a Quantitative Systematic Trading Intern who will work on projects that model the work of our full-time staff, participate in an education program, and build alphas on actual trading strategies. You will interact with mentors at the top of the field and gain foundational knowledge in quantitative finance.

Opportunities exist in our Philadelphia and New York offices. The program offers a base weekly salary and a signing bonus, housing, meals, and other perks.

Qualifications

• PhDs (in penultimate or final year) in quantitative fields such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, or Economics.
• Analytical problem-solvers with excellent logical reasoning and a passion for turning data into decisions.
• Clear communicators in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
• Programmers comfortable processing and analyzing large data sets in Python; experience with C++ (or another low-level language) is a plus.
• Strategic thinkers with demonstrated interests in strategic games and/or competitive activities.
• Self-motivated and quick to learn, thriving in dynamic, fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Modeling: apply probability theory, statistics, and ML to predict market behavior and generate alphas.
• Execution: create strategies to test ideas in simulated environments.
• Evaluation: backtest ideas using historical data and revise strategies.
• Breadth: explore all aspects of quant work and Susquehanna’s business areas.
• Education: participate in a comprehensive education program with mentors.
• Collaboration: work in an open environment with multiple teams across the business.
