NJF Global Holdings Ltd seeks a researcher-turned-developer with strong C++ skills to design and deploy live trading strategies in equities and futures. You will convert signals into executable trades, optimize execution paths, and work on high- and mid-frequency strategies with intraday to short holding periods.
The role emphasizes implementing production code, modeling costs, and optimizing performance on a live trading system, leveraging deep statistics and market microstructure knowledge.
The firm trades equities, options and futures with its own capital on exchanges around the world, with offices across the US, Europe and Asia. Its core expertise is high-frequency trading: low-latency market making, arbitrage and market taking built on market microstructure signals. It is now building out mid-frequency strategies with holding periods from intraday to a few days.
The firm holds a large library of modular alphas that have yet to be fully monetized, and a deep learning research team producing new forecasting models alongside them. This role sits on the New York monetization team, whose researchers are market and asset class experts in equities and futures and turn those signals and forecasts into trading strategies and PnL. Core development owns market data handling, order gateways and the live trading system, and a research engineering group builds the simulation, data and reconciliation tools researchers work with.
You will take signals and forecasts and decide how they are traded: order placement, fill and queue modelling, position sizing, hedging, transaction costs and capacity, across high-frequency and mid-frequency horizons. Researchers here write the production code for their own strategies. You will code each strategy in C++, deploy it to the live system yourself, and track live results against research.
We are seeking a researcher first, who is also a strong C++ developer, with deep knowledge of a market or asset class in equities or futures. You should have turned signals into live trading strategies at high or intraday frequency and coded and deployed them in production yourself. You should have strong statistics and write clean, fast C++ with an understanding of what code costs to run on the live path. You will stand out if you have monetized signals in live trading or worked on execution or market impact.
