Job summary

Hyperbolic Labs is building the financial layer for a GPU marketplace, pricing and hedging compute risk with innovative derivatives structures. We seek a Quantitative Researcher to own the modeling behind spot and term rates across GPU types and regions.

You'll design pricing models, implement hedges with conventional and non-traditional instruments, and translate market signals into actionable product design decisions in a fast, uncertain environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in quantitative research, trading, or structuring with traded pricing models.
  • Deep fluency in derivatives pricing (options, futures, forwards) and hedging.
  • Experience hedging portfolios of physical or contracted assets using standard and non-standard instruments.
  • Strong Python programming skills and ability to work with messy production data.

Responsibilities

  • Build pricing models that set spot and term rates across GPU types and regions.
  • Hedge compute portfolios using conventional derivatives and non-traditional instruments.
  • Define methodology for pricing in an illiquid market, guiding product design decisions.
  • Communicate model outputs to finance, engineering, and commercial stakeholders.
