U.S. Bank seeks an experienced analytics leader to advance AML monitoring. You will collaborate with EFCC and FIU to evolve transaction monitoring models, and you will drive the full lifecycle from data exploration to production, creating governance documentation and ensuring robust model validation.
The role emphasizes leadership, cross-functional communication, and strong analytical capabilities to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences within a highly technical environment.

This individual will work with a team of Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) analysts responsible for supporting the development, production, and ongoing maintenance (including tuning and performance monitoring) of the Bank’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Transaction Monitoring systems. These systems include the Actimize SAM Security Blanket model as well as a portfolio of targeted monitoring models developed internally via SAS/SQL/Python.
The ideal candidate for this position will have prior experience developing BSA/AML monitoring applications and related professional documentation (development documents, procedure manuals, PowerPoint presentations, etc.). The candidate must be highly motivated, organized, and an effective manager of time with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. This individual will have proven capabilities driving analytical projects that require communication and coordination with team members and stakeholders.
Additionally, this candidate will play a key role in advancing the AML monitoring program at U.S. Bank into more sophisticated anomaly detection systems. The candidate must be able to demonstrate expertise in true machine learning modeling approaches. The role is highly technical and requires significant interaction with both internal and external review and validation functions, along with the ability to explain complex concepts in a manner appropriate for various levels of audiences.
Professional communication skills are crucial as this individual (and their work product) will represent the FIU team to EFCC senior leadership, Model Risk Management, internal audit and quality assurance functions, business partners, and regulators.
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

Pay Range: $126,820.00 – $149,200.00. The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
