Edgehog Trading, a Chicago-based proprietary trading firm, seeks a skilled options trader to manage pricing, positioning, and algorithmic activity across desks. You will engage brokers and counterparties, analyze market microstructure, and monitor execution quality to generate alpha and improve strategy performance.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years trading options, strong Python, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years trading options and managing an options market-making book
• BA/BS/MS/PhD in CS, Data Science, Engineering, Math, Economics, Finance, Physics, or related field
• Strong verbal communication, detail oriented, team player
• Excellent ability to use market information to positively impact trading operations and algorithms
• Ability to work under pressure and make fast decisions in a dynamic market
• Strong interpersonal skills to manage external counterparties
• Strong Python programming skills; familiarity with AI agents a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage pricing, positioning, and algorithmic trading activity across option market making strategies
• Serve as main contact for brokers and counterparties
• Analyze market microstructure and execution quality to generate alpha signals
• Proactively manage real-time risk across a diversified options portfolio
• Develop relationships to improve access to flow and expand business
• Collaborate with quants and engineers on models using proprietary data
