Job summary

The University of Oregon’s Center on Teaching and Learning (CTL) invites applications for a one-year Postdoctoral Scholar position based in Eugene, OR, with a hybrid option. The role supports the quantitative component of ExpandDL, working with school districts and large‑scale longitudinal data, performing descriptive and quasi‑experimental analyses.

You will collaborate with Dr. Ilana Umansky, receive structured mentorship, and contribute to study design, data management, and scholarly writing,

Qualifications

• Ph.D. by start of position in quantitative methods or related field.
• Experience with human subjects research.
• Documented experience publishing research.
• Advanced training or experience in quantitative methods (descriptive & quasi-experimental).
• Experience working with large-scale longitudinal datasets.

Responsibilities

• Lead quantitative research for ExpandDL project, including descriptive and quasi-experimental analyses.
• Collaborate with school districts and work with large-scale longitudinal data.
• Engage in qualitative evaluation activities as needed and mentor junior researchers.
• Lead development, analysis, and writing of at least one independent or co-authored peer-reviewed publication.
• Receive structured mentorship and support for research design and scholarly writing.
