Job summary

Options Consulting Solutions is seeking a Software Developer to contribute to greenfield products within a Private Equity tech team. You will write Python tools automating deployment, build internal tooling for dashboards, and implement CI/CD workflows.

The role requires React/TypeScript web app experience, strong testing practices, and familiarity with Docker and Azure. A hybrid Boston-based work model is offered, with a focus on developer experience and reliability engineering.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years software development experience.
• Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Experience building web applications (React/TypeScript preferred) or willingness to learn.
• Solid testing practices (unit, integration, end-to-end).
• Experience with automation and scripting for developer tooling.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and pipeline development.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, Application Insights).
• Understanding of Git workflows and code review processes.
• Interest in reliability engineering, deployment strategies, and developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Write Python tools and services that automate deployment, testing, and environment management.
• Build web-based internal tooling for observability dashboards, deployment controls, and system health monitoring.
• Develop automated testing infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline logic.
• Build feature flag systems and gradual rollout tooling coordinated with applications.
• Build monitoring and alerting systems that surface issues before they impact users.
• Write infrastructure-as-code and environment automation to reduce drift and improve reproducibility.
• Develop CLI tools and scripts that improve developer workflows.
• Contribute to application code alongside platform tooling.

Our client is a global Private Equity firm based in Boston. The firm invests in all types of private equity funds, including venture capital and leveraged buyout funds in addition to directly in operating companies.
