As a Quantitative Analytics & Model Development Analyst Senior within PNC's Balance Sheet Analytics & Modeling organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh or Philadelphia, PA, Cleveland, OH, Dallas or Houston, TX, Wilmington, DE, Tysons, VA, Charlotte, NC or New York City. This position is primarily located in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely at manager's discretion.

Job Responsibilities

  • Code writing: data stitching, data validation, model output analysis, etc.
  • Documentation and report writing
  • Generate tables and figures for presentations and ad hoc requests
  • Explain the work/approach to internal and external personnel
  • Learn and explain domain knowledge from business partners

Preferred Skills And Experience

  • 2 years’ experience with python (or R/C/C++) as primary programming language.
  • 2 years’ experience with data visualization (e.g., matplotlib, tableau)
  • Experience with PySpark, Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn, SLURM, SQL
  • Familiarity with command line / bash / os.system ()
  • Experience with automation through readable and reusable code
  • Experience with managing python libraries and following basic software development practices
  • Knowledge on statistical modeling and model lifecycle procedures within the financial services sector
  • Experience with model monitoring and documentation for publication with external review
  • Experience with addressing methodology and code concerns from official reviews

Job Description

  • Performs advanced quantitative analyses and model development to support decision-making and makes recommendations based on analyses.
  • Develops and refines model frameworks, supports the line of business, and reviews existing models. Communicates with model owners and developers during reviews. Handles larger datasets for model creation.
  • Creates detailed reports and performs qualitative and quantitative assessments of models, including data quality, design, and implementation. Analyzes complex data and provides insights.
  • Uses quantitative tools to measure and analyze model risks, assessing strengths and limitations.
  • Prepares documents for validation and regulatory compliance using standard templates.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a relevant degree (preferably Bachelor's) with 3+ years of industry experience or equivalent education, certifications, and experience. Skills include analytical thinking, credit risk analysis, data analytics, financial analysis, model development, and understanding of regulatory environments.
