Job summary

Bank of America in New York City is seeking a Quantitative Analyst to join the Commodities team within the Quantitative Strategies and Data Group (QSDG), supporting the GCIP trading desk. This NYC-based role will focus on developing the strategic platform for Bank of America’s commodities investible index franchise.

The successful candidate will build scalable platform components, implement indices and strategies, improve analytics and workflows, and support production.

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming and software development skills.
• Experience with structured development practices (source control, testing, code review).
• Rigorous problem-solving and data quality discipline.
• Business-facing communication in a high-intensity environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Python platform supporting commodities investible indices.
• Implement new indices and trading analytics with backtesting capabilities.
• Build scalable data pipelines, calculation components, controls and monitoring tools.
• Support trading desks and production issue resolution.
• Improve platform reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with trading, structuring, sales and technology to deliver priorities.
