Job summary

Truist in Winston-Salem is seeking a Quantitative Audit Manager to lead complex technical model validation across financial and non-financial models, ensuring risk controls and regulatory alignment.

You will coach junior team members, collaborate with Model Risk Management, Model Development and business owners, and contribute to improvements in risk practices and governance. This role requires strong communication and the ability to present findings to senior management.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent post-undergraduate certification.
• 6+ years of technical model experience in validation, development, or audit.
• Experience with financial modeling methodologies and statistical methods.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Proficiency in R, Python, or C++.
• Proficiency with SAS and/or SQL.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, interpersonal and decision-making skills.
• Strong written, oral, and negotiating skills; able to present findings.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of technical model validation reviews.
• Perform full or targeted scope validation assessments.
• Review validations for MRMs conclusions alignment.
• Assess methodology and fit-for-use of models.
• Coach and mentor junior auditors in modeling concepts.
