Job summary

NHK Seating of America in Frankfort, Indiana, is seeking a Quality Weld Technician for the 2nd shift (6:00 pm – completion). The role supports automotive seat production in a fast-paced, just-in-time environment and reports to the manufacturing team.

Responsibilities include inspecting materials and assemblies, reading blueprints, welding with arc/mig equipment, and solving problems with root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

Manufacturing Engineers design, implement, and improve assembly processes for seat manufacturing. You will work with a highly motivated cross-functional team and deliver turnkey solutions to enable seat production at rate. NHK Seating of America is an Automotive parts supplier located in Frankfort, Indiana seeking qualified individual for a Manufacturing Engineer position with growth potential.

Schedule: 2nd Shift, 6:00 pm - completion $23.35

Responsibilities and Skills

• Display a working knowledge understanding of the company handbook, customer requirements and quality standards.
• Inspect materials, components and assemblies at various stages of production
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Experience with arc/mig welding
• Effective problem solving and root cause analysis
• Perform accurate readings with precision measuring instruments
• Understanding of Blue print readings
• Ability to walk or stand up to 12 hours
• Ability to grasp and use air and battery powered tools (grinder, plasma cutter, saws, etc.)
• Good written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Excel.
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Experience with industrial automation required.
• Automotive seating experience is preferred.
