Job summary

Beehive Industries is a Centennial, Colorado-based manufacturer specializing in jet propulsion components. The Senior Quality Technician will perform visual and mechanical inspections, generate inspection data, and work with Engineering to resolve issues while ensuring AS9100/ITAR compliance.

This role operates Thursday-Sunday 7am-5:30pm at the Centennial facility. Qualifications include 2+ years in quality, experience with CMM programming, GD&T, and AS9100/ITAR environment familiarity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a quality position.
• Experience in ISO 9001 manufacturing and inspection environments (aerospace, medical devices, or automotive).
• Experience writing programs and running CMM.
• Experience developing quality procedures and work instructions.
• Proficient with GD&T read/write/interpret.
• Drawing interpretation background.
• Experience with measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and suppliers; inter-company/external presentations.
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and implement inspection processes based on customer specifications.
• Create inspection programs using PC DMIS or Calypso.

• Assist with maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) and calibration records.
• Create inspection documentation and verify data for customer data packets or CoC packets.
• Identify and record non-conformances and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Role Overview

The Senior Quality Technician's function is to perform various inspection duties, create and collect inspection data, work closely with Engineering and Operations to resolve issues, and maintain document control in accordance with AS9100, AS9102, and ITAR requirements. This position is Thursday-Sunday 7am-5:30pm.

What You'll Do...

• Perform visual and mechanical inspections using measurement and test equipment that includes, but is not limited to pin gages, calipers, micrometers, bore gages, height gage, profilometer, optical comparator, CMM, and GOM scanner
• Measure components and compare results to Engineering drawings that contain GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and industry standard specification controls
• Create, develop, and implement inspection processes based on customer specifications
• Create and run part measurement programs using applicable tooling software, such as PC DMIS or Calypso
• Collaborate with Quality & Manufacturing Engineering to resolve any issues found during product realization
• Assist with creating and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) such as calibration records, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking, and document control
• Create inspection documentation and collect and verify all data for customer data packet or CoC packet
• Identify and record non-conformances using various software
• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of experience working in a quality position
• Experience working in an ISO 9001 manufacturing and inspection environment; aerospace, medical devices, or automotive
• Experience writing programs and running CMM
• Experience in developing and implementing quality procedures and work instructions
• Proficient with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) read, write and interpret
• Drawing interpretation background
• Experience working with various measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
• Formal written and verbal communication with internal and external parties (customers and suppliers) as well as performing inter-company and external presentations
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S.Citizenship is required, as only U.S.Citizens are eligible for a security clearance

In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $30.00-$36.00 hourly salary.
