Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have eye for detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good math and technical skills.
• 2–5 years of inspection and/or production experience.
• Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel (Microsoft Office products).
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Working knowledge of quality equipment such as calipers, pin gauges, etc.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
• Inspect in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
• Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests and rejecting/separating unacceptable materials. Reporting results to production supervisor and Quality Manager.
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Assist in conducting root cause analysis for nonconformity of materials identified in inspections.
• Assist in overall process improvements and process re-engineering towards continuous improvement.
• Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports to Quality Manager.
