Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a Level One Quality Technician to learn and apply predetermined inspection methods on machined parts and assemblies. You will train under the Quality manager to verify part identifications, use standard measuring tools, and participate in in-process and final inspections.

The role requires basic blueprint reading, simple math, and computer skills with MRP/ERP systems. ITAR compliance and on-site work in the U.S. are expected.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of recent or relevant work experience or training.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Some Engineering or technical training/background preferred.
• Proficiency with general computer usage is required.
• Familiarity with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visually observe dimensional and functional characteristics of the product in final form.
• Perform first part on startup and evaluate product manufacturing.
• Review all certifications for incoming material received.
• Perform in-process inspection of product during manufacturing and final inspection using optical comparators, thread gages, height gauges, calipers, micrometers and profilometer; reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
