Olympic Steel, Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician in Plymouth, MN to perform routine tests and inspections, collect data, and support ISO compliance. You will participate in capability studies, first-piece inspections, and cross‑department projects to ensure a high-quality product.

The role requires an Associate degree or related experience, strong analytical skills, and ERP (Microsoft AX) familiarity. Pay ranges from $30–$38 per hour with full benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or commensurate experience in a related field required.
• Strong analytical skills required.
• Ability to work well both independently and with a team.
• Blueprint reading skills strongly preferred.
• ERP knowledge required; Microsoft AX preferred.
• Experience operating Faro equipment, CAD/CAM experience and Tooling Design experience preferred.
• Previous experience in CNC/Press Brake/Oxy-Fuel machining strongly preferred.
• PPAP/APQP experience also preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine tests and inspections on products.
• Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with data collection.
• Perform capability studies and first-piece inspections; record results.
• Assist with ISO compliance and training.
• Participate in special projects and coordinate with other departments to ensure quality.
