Cummins Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician III for the 1st shift at the Plainfield, IN site. You will participate in inspection, testing, and measurement activities to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications. The role partners with engineering to drive process improvements on the shop floor.

The position emphasizes precise data generation, accurate record-keeping, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing excellence and customer satisfaction.

Qualificações

• Proficiency in applying metrology principles and quality tools to ensure product quality.
• Experience with APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC and capability studies where applicable.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure Product Quality - compare components and finished products against specifications to identify defects.
• Perform Inspection & Testing - conduct product and component testing including electrical function and packaging quality assessments.
• Deliver Accurate Measurement Data - generate precise data using measurement equipment to support decisions.
• Support Engineering Operations - partner with engineers on production-related inspection activities.
• Maintain Quality Documentation-Record test results and prepare technical reports for compliance and traceability.
• Optimize Measurement Systems - assist with programming, operation, and training of measurement equipment.
• Ensure Equipment Reliability - assist with maintenance and calibration of equipment.
• Drive Continuous Improvement - participate in measurement uncertainty studies and provide insights.
