Job summary

Sparton DeLeon Springs, LLC is seeking a Technician, Quality III to support product quality, drive continuous improvement projects, and develop quality metrics. You will work with blueprints, perform material testing, and contribute to root cause analysis to ensure conformance with standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years related experience, along with proficiency in MS Office, GD&T (ANSI Y-14.5), and using precision inspection tools such as calipers,

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications and product information.
  • Proficiency with writing reports, and creating graphs and charts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • Fully versed with ANSI Y-14.5 Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Capable of operating a CMM (FARO Arm).
  • Good understanding of Quality Management Systems (AS-9100 preferred).
  • Ability to communicate and/or present information to others.

Responsibilities

  • Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications and third-party specifications to obtain product information such as specified material, surface finish, and dimensions.
  • Performs testing and evaluation of material in production process, and test products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, and mechanical characteristics.
  • Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures when required.
  • Contribute to failure analysis and root cause investigation as required.
  • Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards. Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Application of the proper metrology practices and gauge selection in regard to the development of Quality Inspection Plans.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Technician, Quality III is responsible for product quality support, execution of continuous improvement projects, supplier quality development, and development of improved quality metrics.

Education, Experience, Licenses And Certifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills And Abilities
  • US Citizenship is Required.
  • Capable in using all hand-held measuring devices (Calipers, Micrometer, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications and product information.
  • Proficiency with writing reports, and creating graphs and charts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.

Travel And Physical Requirements
  • 10% Travel Requirement.
