This position serves as a critical quality control point within the manufacturing process by preventing nonconforming material from progressing through production or being released to customers. The Quality Technician verifies product configuration, traceability, documentation, and workmanship while maintaining accurate quality records and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

This position is based at the Woodinville facility, supporting Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA), receiving inspection, and supplier material verification. The technician also supports final inspection and authorized product release activities at Kirkland as needed. Work assignments and travel between facilities are coordinated according to inspection priorities. The successful candidate will work independently across multiple product lines while collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections to approved drawings, specifications, work instructions, inspection plans, sampling requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Perform final product acceptance and release activities within assigned authorization and in accordance with approved procedures and quality requirements.
  • Conduct receiving inspections of incoming materials, components, PCBAs, and assemblies.
  • Prioritize assigned inspections at Woodinville and travel to Kirkland during the workday as needed to support final inspection and authorized product release.
  • Verify product configuration, revision control, bill of materials (BOM) alignment, traceability, serial numbers, and manufacturing records.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, digital microscopes, and OGP vision systems. Verify calibration status and suitability before use.
  • Execute digital inspection workflows and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Maintain shift handoffs documenting completed inspections, outstanding priorities, material on hold, and unresolved quality concerns.
  • Identify, document, segregate, and control nonconforming material.
  • Support NCR, MRB, containment, and corrective action activities.
  • Inspect PCBs and PCBAs to applicable IPC standards and approved acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Escalate quality risks, unclear or conflicting acceptance criteria, and unresolved issues to the designated Quality lead or supervisor.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and standard work development.
  • Maintain compliance with AS9100 requirements and company procedures.
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of quality inspection experience in aerospace, defense, electronics manufacturing, or a similar high-technology environment.
  • Experience performing final inspection, receiving inspection, or both.

  • Working knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent quality management systems.
  • Understanding of GD&T principles and inspection methods.
  • Experience using precision measurement equipment and inspection tools.
  • Experience inspecting electronic assemblies, PCBAs, or electromechanical products.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work with limited supervision and make inspection decisions within approved procedures and assigned authorization.
  • Availability for the Thursday–Sunday schedule at Woodinville and travel to Kirkland as needed during the workday.
