Novanta Inc. is seeking a QA Technician to oversee inspection processes for incoming and outgoing parts, driving quality investigations and contributing to new product development.
You will collaborate with R&D, Operations, Sales and customer service to ensure accurate quality data and timely improvements. This role requires self‑direction, strong communication, and hands‑on use of measurement tools including micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and CMMs (Zeiss Calypso).
The QA Technician is responsible for the overall process of projects and inspection. This individual will be responsible for performing incoming/outgoing inspection. The QA Technician will have a strong customer focus and have the desire to drive quality investigations and improvements, and to be a contributor to new product development programs. He/She will be self‑starting, with a strong desire to succeed, and collaborate and grow with others in the organization. The candidate will demonstrate passion and rigor to learn, improve processes, and serve internal/external customers. The QA Technician will communicate cross‑functionally within the organization, with frequent interactions with R&D, Operations, Sales, and customer service. The salary for this role will range from $45,320 to $67,700 annually based on full‑time employment. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, experience, education, etc. Certain roles may be eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation and/or long‑term incentives. Incentives could be discretionary or non‑discretionary, depending on the plan. Novanta supports all aspects of your life needs. Mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer. Ability to use vision to read computer screens and read printed materials. Regularly lift 30-50 pounds & perform repetitive tasks. Regularly possess manual dexterity to assemble & test instruments quickly and accurately. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus on optical inspection equipment.
