Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island, Georgia, as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China. **Responsibilities:*** Collaborates with operators, supervisors and/or engineering representatives to determine/enforce quality standards.* Performs detailed visual and dimensional inspection of supplier materials/components.* Performs First Article Inspections on supplier and/or internal new parts or revision changes.* Audits of new or existing suppliers using a wide variety of gauges tools and other measuring devices.* Generates nonconforming Material Report when items are found which deviate from established Engineering and/or QA standards. As appropriate, reports are distributed to management and suppliers.* Enters data, part history, supplier performance, in-house efficiency defect rates, failure mode etc. into computer database. Evaluates test data using standard spreadsheets or other applications software.* Use of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and capability analysis to properly evaluate processes and make recommendations to improve or eliminate variables adversely affecting those processes.* Recommends modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality.
