Job summary

Smith & Wesson in Maryville, TN is seeking a Quality Control Technician to develop and implement manufacturing processes that meet product specifications and quality standards. The position will coordinate launches, implement improvements, and train staff in lean practices.

Qualified candidates have an Associate degree or ASQ certification and 1–3 years of QA experience in manufacturing. The role is 1st shift, 8am–5pm, with starting pay of $22.00 per hour and benefits.

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Technical or Engineering related field or ASQ Certification.
1–3 years in quality control manufacturing (preferred).

Responsibilities

Facilitate calibration and routine daily/weekly instrument maintenance to ensure accuracy of results.
Perform inspection of component parts using a variety of inspection and measurement tools such as optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, CMM and vision scope.
Evaluate inspection results for compliance to specification.
Perform First Article inspection of parts by interpreting drawings which include GD&T.
