Job summary

CorTech International in California is seeking a Quality Technician to support incoming and outgoing inspections within an aerospace manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes hands-on inspection, documentation, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional teamwork to drive quality improvements and timely issue resolution.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of quality/inspection experience, hands-on use of precision measurement tools, and strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and AS9102

Qualifications

• 4+ years of quality/inspection experience.
• Experience working with FAA 8130 tags.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Hands-on experience using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, torque gauges, and feeler gauges.
• Experience with ISO 9001 standards.
• Experience with AS9100 aerospace quality standards.
• Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102.
• Comfortable working with auditors and supporting ISO/AS9100 compliance activities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic electrical knowledge for testing electrical component functionality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn company-specific systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform and support incoming and outgoing inspections.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and related documentation.
• Use precision inspection tools including gauges, calipers, micrometers, torque gauges, feeler gauges, and lead partition gauges.
• Support First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102.
• Review and work with FAA 8130 tags.
• Document quality issues and communicate findings with internal customers and team members.
• Create and maintain Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs).
• Assign corrective action items and follow up on resolution.
• Participate in Corrective Action Teams (CAT) and High Performance Teams (HPT).
• Assist with root-cause analysis and development of corrective actions.
• Inspect and disposition customer-returned material.
• Maintain, update, control, and distribute quality system documentation.
• Enter transactions to appropriately move and control material.
• Support audits and compliance activities related to ISO 9001/AS9100.
• Follow all applicable safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
