Benchmark Electronics in Minnesota (Winona) is seeking a Quality Technician to verify processes and manufacturing instructions to ensure quality products meeting customer specs. You will collect data, analyze results, and prepare charts and reports for continuous improvement.

Summary:

The Quality Technician verifies processes and manufacturing instructions to produce quality product that meets customers' requirements. Executes established procedures in verifying and assuring quality processes and manufacturing standards. Performs data collection, analysis, and data verification and charts and graph preparation.

Responsibilities:
  • Completes the Quality section of the Manufacturing Readiness Review.
  • Implements Quality Management Plans.
  • Monitors process control limits.
  • Assists product engineers in the maintenance of inspection procedures, audits and stock/floor purges.
  • Assists with operations on process improvements and process optimization.
  • Assists Engineering in the generation of weekly and monthly inspection and test reports for Business Units.
  • Reviews inspection and test reports for areas of process improvement.
  • Performs preventive maintenance (PM) equipment and process/equipment troubleshooting
  • Inspects, measures, and tests mechanical, electrical and electromechanical components and assemblies
  • Verifies material conformance to specifications. Interprets company and industrial specifications.
  • Gathers and maintains specific records of technical data related to materials, tools, fixtures and processes used in company
  • Creates and maintains inspection plans, logs and reports
  • Compiles reports using information gathered from quality, manufacturing and research projects
  • Develops measurement processes
  • Collects and analyzes data using statistical analysis methods
  • Communicates quality data to employees and management
  • Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Builds stable working relationships internally
  • Learns to use professional concepts. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues
  • Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.
Other information:
  • 0-3+ years of electronics experience
  • 2 year Engineering or Technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation Range: $19.62 to $22.44 USD. Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
