Job Description:

About the Role: Our Carrollton, TX, facility, a manufacturer of quality private label refrigerated dough products, is seeking a Quality Technician I. As Quality Technician I, you will test and inspect products at various stages of the production process and compile and evaluate analytical data to determine and maintain the quality and reliability of products.

You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

  • Perform physical and chemical testing on retail products to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct routine sampling and auditing of retail and industrial packaging materials and raw ingredients for quality and specification adherence. Initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain and update testing procedures in alignment with industry best practices.
  • Maintain adherence to company material specifications and regulatory guidelines.
  • Input and manage test results in the Laboratory Data Management System (LDMS) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and complete Certificates of Analysis (COA) for outbound shipments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, following all laboratory safety protocols.
  • Perform shift-based specialty tasks such as environmental monitoring, water quality monitoring, and sample shipping.
  • Manage and prepare customer retail samples for shipment as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as FDA, GMP, HACCP, and ISO standards.
  • Adhere to food safety and workplace safety protocols in alignment with company policies.

Important Details:

  • This is a full-time, on-site role on second shift, 2pm to 10:30pm. Occasional flexibility may be required to support alternate shifts.

You’ll fit right in if you have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in quality control, laboratory testing, or a related role within a manufacturing or food production environment is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with laboratory testing techniques, quality assurance protocols, and regulatory requirements is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
