Job summary

CompoSecure, a GPGI business and the leading manufacturer of Premium Metal Payment Cards, seeks a QA Inspector to ensure product quality through inspections of incoming materials, first articles, and spot audits, while maintaining ISO 9001 standards.

Collaborate with production teams, prepare Certificates of Conformance, and report non-conformities. Requires 1–3 years of relevant experience, strong math skills, and HS education; a Bachelor’s in engineering/science is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-coming material and sub-contracted process inspections and record results
• Perform first articles for each customer order with production team
• Conduct spot product audits and report out-of-spec conditions
• Run ISO 9001 audits per schedule and document non-conformities
• Prepare CTQ attribute reports and Certificates of Conformance for outgoing products
• Collaborate with shift supervisors on quality holds and stoppages
• Support safety and cleanliness programs

Job description

Position Overview

This position is required to support the company's objectives for product quality through control of in-coming materials, first articles inspections, spot product audits and any final inspection/certificates of conformance and reporting of any identified production monitoring data. In addition, this position is required to support the company's objective to maintain ISO 9001 certification through timely quality audits according to the ISO 9001 audit schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-coming material and sub-contracted processes output inspection to set material specifications and recording of in-coming results in Visual Quality module


• Conduct first articles for each customer order, working as a team with production employees and shift supervisors to ensure optimal product quality through each order. Immediately report any out of specification conditions to the operator, shift supervisors and Quality Manager. Complete all necessary first article paperwork as required


• Conduct spot product audits in collaboration with the shift supervisor and operators to monitor product quality of product being manufactured. Immediately report any out of specification conditions to the operator, shift supervisor and Quality Manager. Complete internal non-conformity documentation on any out of specification situation observed


• Conduct quality audits according to the ISO 9001 audit schedule. Complete internal non-conformity documentation on any findings observed


• Prepare reporting for the identified CTQ (Critical to Quality) attributes for each product group


• Prepare any and all Certificates of Conformance on outgoing product, as required

Other Important Responsibilities

• Work in collaboration with shift supervisors and production leads in decisions involving product quality, quality hold or quality stoppage


• Conduct material or product testing according to the direction of R&D, shift supervisors or Quality Manager


• Summarize test results and deliver to requesting party


• Engage and support companywide Safety and Cleanliness programs


• Will be required to perform other job functions, as assigned

Qualifications

• A minimum 1 to 3 years (or more) of relevant experience


• High School Education a must, Bachelor's Degree in any engineering, science or mathematics discipline a plus
